Your membership in MAPA will make you part of a team that is working to:

1. Promote the use of asphalt as a road construction material to architects, engineers, landowners, municipalities and other government entities. (i.e. counties, road districts, parks, airports, etc.)
2. Marketing of full depth asphalt to the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department, counties, cities, towns, and developers throughout Missouri.
3. Inform, monitor and lobby membership of environmental laws and rules, which affect the industry.
4. Commitment of association members to work with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department, counties, cities, towns and developers throughout Missouri in the area of quality control, specifications and communication.
5. Expand the information and communication network to and between members and customers.
6. Represent the industry's viewpoints and concerns to various public agencies on environmental, engineering and legislative issues.
7. Work with other associations and groups (i.e. Associated General Contractors, Missouri Limestone Producers Association) on issues of common interest.
8. Provide opportunities for our members to have access to producers, contractors, and experts from other geographical areas to share information, best practices and technical concepts. (Asphalt Institute, convention speakers, videos etc.)
9. To be a unified voice to represent MAPA's Membership to user agencies.
10. Conduct meetings and seminars for user agencies.
11. PAC Fund dedicated to lobbying and informing legislators of important industry issues.
12. Research and Education Fund designed to foster and promote research advancements and academic studies of technical and management natures related to design and construction of hot mix asphalt.
